Desert Wing is an imposing contemporary architecture project designed by Kendle Design Collaborative and located in Scottsdale, Arizona. The design of the residence is said to be inspired by the owner’s minimalist tastes and his environmental responsibility. Oriented towards a nearby lake, the views are enhanced by floor to ceiling windows, which answers the owners’ desire of a “see-through home with a high level of privacy”.
Here is more information from the architects along with further credits: Features include rammedearth walls, extensive use of glass for taking in views, operable windows to allow the house “to breath”, and a soaring roof form, clad in copper, that appears to float above the home. Landscaped courtyards to the east provide both privacy & promote outdoor living. Landscape design is done in collaboration with Floor & Associates. The interior design was achieved in collaboration with Jack Wosniak and can be characterized by simplicity and elegance.
